Pregnancy Belly Rings

Do I Need to Remove My Belly Ring During Pregnancy?

Not necessarily. If your navel piercing is fully healed, many people are able to continue wearing jewellery throughout pregnancy by switching to a flexible maternity belly ring as their bump grows. Flexible pregnancy bars are designed to bend and move with your body, making them a more comfortable option than traditional metal bars as your skin stretches.

Our maternity belly rings feature medical-grade PTFE (Bioflex) bars, a lightweight, flexible material that can be trimmed to your preferred length if required. They're an excellent choice for helping keep your piercing open while allowing extra room as your pregnancy progresses.

What If 14g Feels Too Thick?

Most maternity belly rings are available in the standard 14 gauge (14g). However, if your piercing is better suited to a finer gauge, we also stock a 16g maternity belly ring found here PTFE Pregnancy Belly Ring in sizes 14g or 16g.

I Prefer Metal Jewellery. Are There Any Alternatives?

If you'd rather wear surgical steel instead of a flexible PTFE bar, our 19mm extra-long belly bars are a popular alternative. At almost twice the length of a standard 10mm belly ring, they provide additional room as your bump grows while maintaining the look and feel of traditional metal jewellery.

Every Pregnancy Is Different

Some customers comfortably wear their maternity jewellery right through to the end of their pregnancy, while others choose to remove it later as their body changes. If your piercing becomes uncomfortable, irritated, or your healthcare provider recommends removing it, it's always best to follow their advice.

If you're unsure which option is right for you, our experienced team is always happy to help you choose the most comfortable jewellery for your pregnancy.
