Navel Jewellery Sizing

The most common size for navel jewellery is 14 gauge (14g) with a 10mm (3/8") bar length. Unless otherwise stated on the product page, the majority of our belly rings are supplied in this standard size.

If you prefer a thinner 16g bar, you can browse our collection here:

Need a different length? We stock belly rings in a wide range of sizes, including 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 11mm, 12mm, 14mm, 16mm and 19mm bar lengths.

My Belly Piercing Has Stretched – What Jewellery Should I Wear?
Changes to your body after pregnancy, weight fluctuations, or simply years of wearing jewellery can sometimes cause your navel piercing to stretch, making it easier for the top ball to slip through the piercing.
The good news is that this doesn't necessarily mean you need to retire your favourite belly jewellery. For many customers, replacing the standard top ball with an 8mm replacement ball provides a much more secure fit while still allowing you to wear your favourite 14g belly bars.

We also stock a selection of belly rings featuring larger-than-standard top balls, which many customers with stretched piercings find more comfortable and secure.

Alternative Styles That May Work Better
Depending on the shape of your piercing, you may also find these styles provide a better fit:

  • Reverse (Top-Down) Belly Rings
  • Split Belly Rings
  • Belly Huggie Hoops

These designs can often sit more securely and comfortably in stretched or enlarged piercings.

Why Not Use a Thicker Bar?
Unfortunately, 14g is the standard gauge for navel jewellery, and jewellery with thicker posts is extremely uncommon and difficult to source. In most cases, increasing the size of the top ball or choosing a different jewellery style is a much more practical and effective solution.

If you're unsure which option is best for your piercing, our experienced team is always happy to help. Simply get in touch and we'll be happy to recommend the most suitable jewellery based on your individual needs.
